Dr. Stephanie M. Mitchell obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, now known as Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton. She received her bachelors in Biology with an emphasis on physiology and a minor in Chemistry from California State University, Long Beach. Based on her own experiences, she knew early in life she wanted to be an optometrist to help people with their vision.
Dr. Mitchell is board certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD). In addition, has attained special certification in the Treatment and Management of Glaucoma (TLG). She has worked in pediatric vision care and has performed research into visual dysfunction and the associated effects with poor performance in school. Dr Mitchell is proficient in the fitting and use of medically necessary contact lenses used for the treatment of keratoconus. Dr. Mitchell specializes in dry eye management. Dr Mitchell also enjoys fitting people with multi focal contacts lenses that allow people after the age of 40 to see both far and near.
