Long Beach Optometrist
Dr. Sheila Soltani was born and raised in Anaheim, CA. She graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology & Neuroscience and a double minor in Cognitive Science and Music. Dr. Soltani went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry.
She trained at both the Portland VA Medical Center and the Fresno VA Medical Center, where she focused on the diagnosis and management of a variety of ocular diseases. After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree with Beta Sigma Kappa honors, Dr. Soltani completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Cleveland VA Medical Center. In addition to providing comprehensive eye exams and co-managing cases with ophthalmology, she also instructed 4th year optometry students and presented numerous lectures and case reports.
Dr. Soltani is glaucoma certified and is licensed in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. She provides both comprehensive and medical eye exams, pre- and post-operative care, and fits contact lenses.
Dr. Soltani also places special clinical emphasis on treating and managing Dry Eye Disease. She strives to provide the highest quality of dry eye care using advanced ophthalmic diagnostic techniques and treatments, such as Blephex and Lipiflow. She is spearheading our Dry Eye Center of Excellence.
In her spare time, she enjoys discovering new restaurants, hiking, traveling, playing the piano, and spending time with friends/family.
