Is it just us or has it been one of the hottest summers in Long Beach in a long time lately? It has been hot hot hot!

Contacts involve putting them over the surface of your eye. This reduces the amount of moisture and oxygen your eyes have access to. This is then exacerbated if you’re around something like say, the AC.

That means you won’t feel any pain during LASIK. The drops last during the full procedure and then start wearing off a few hours after LASIK is completed.
After the drops wear off, you might feel some slight discomfort. Your eyes may also be more sensitive than normal. This goes away pretty quickly, and shouldn’t be painful either.
If you do find the discomfort is more than you can bear, you can take ibuprofen to take the edge off. Pro tip: you can go right to bed after doing this. Trust us, after taking a three or four-hour nap, you’ll be feeling right as rain!
4. Your sunglasses game will be on point
Look, you might be sweaty in a Long Beach heatwave, but at least your sunglasses game will be on point. After LASIK, you can wear whatever sunglasses you want.
